Who is Kaevyn as a clinician?

Kaevyn has worked with diverse individuals, couples, justice-involved populations, and queer and transgender communities. Her theoretical orientation is person-centered, utilizing an ecosystems approach framed through an anti-racist, liberatory social justice lens. Kaevyn believes in highlighting the strengths of her clients, empowering them to leverage these qualities to overcome environmental traumas, challenges, and stressors. As a clinician, her goal is to advocate for her clients while equipping them with the skills to advocate for themselves in crucial areas of their lives.

Kaevyn has cultivated her clinical skills as a sexual assault advocate and crisis hotline worker, intern therapist in a private practice setting, and student psychology trainee providing psychological assessments.

    Trained and certified as a sexual assault advocate in Trust Based Relational Interventions.

    Provides individual and group counseling to students, focusing on empowerment and resilience to support mental wellness and personal growth.

    Provided supportive talk therapy for individuals and couples in private practice.

    Facilitates HIV therapy groups for Black queer men and trans women, providing essential psychosocial support and treatment adherence.
